Review
Located 12km north of Oamaru, Riverstone Kitchen is the perfect place to stop with the family. We drove there for lunch with the family while spending the long weekend in Moeraki.

Lunch, dinner and kids menus are available, with any dietary requirements catered for on request. They have a great selection of craft beers and award winning wines, perfect for those special occasions.

Meal prices are at the higher end but well worth it for the higher quality of food made with their freshly grown or locally sourced produce. Jams and preserves are available for purchase in the restaurant.

An indoor toy area inside the restaurant is idyllic for entertaining the smaller kiddies while waiting for the food to arrive. Riverstone Kitchen has stunning grounds with a castle being built on the adjacent site that is great for the kids to gaze at. There is also plenty of outdoor space and gardens for the kids to run around in as well as the amazing outdoor playground and fort which is appealing to those young at heart as well as the kids!!   Additionally on site is the Riverstone Country gift shop  consisting of numerous sheds which is well worth exploring.

This is a high quality restaurant that has thought of everything for the kids. Definitely worth stopping here next time you are in the area or making the trip north one weekend. Make sure you prebook for lunch or dinner so that you don't miss out!
Master Benji loved the playground as did his Dad & Grandfather ;)
